Director, Smart Ag
Jason Bradley was recently appointed as the Director of Smart Ag at Olds College in 2018.
Mr. Bradley has been with Olds College since 2017 and holds a number of roles in addition to Director, including the Program Manager of Smart Ag, the Acting Director for Olds College Centre for Innovation and a Special Projects Coordinator.
In his roles, Mr. Bradley is responsible for the beef management and program management of Smart Ag ecosystem design and implementation. He supports and directs the academic division of the Campus Community in the planning and development of new programming. He is also a liaison with external industry partners and economic development agencies with respect to areas of Smart Agriculture.
In addition to his positions at Olds College, Mr. Bradley has 19 years of experience as a Ranch Manager and Vice President of Operations at Red Deer River Ranches, where he oversees all perspectives of the business at the ranch including the grazing and production of beef cattle on a 50,000 acre operation.
Mr. Bradley has 10 years of experience working for Nortel Networks, where he worked as a Senior Project Manager from 1988 to 1998. In this role he was responsible for project management for product and business development of small office home office telephones and equipment.
In 2017, Mr. Bradley started volunteering as the Director of the Grey Wooded Forage Association which provides forage and grazing extension services.
