Stacey Gellatly is the Executive Director of Industry Development at the Alberta government, and a dedicated and passionate public servant. In addition to building strong relationships and long term strategies for industry development across a wide range of sectors, she oversees a team whose primary mandate is to develop the Oil and Gas Value Chain. In this role, Stacey supports the newly announced Petrochemical Diversification Program 2.0, and the new Petrochemical Feedstock Infrastructure Program.
Stacey was also involved in the design and implementation of many of Alberta’s economic development programs such as the Alberta Investor Tax Credit, the Capital Investment Tax Credit, and the Community and Regional Economic Support Program.
Her leadership and expertise centres on designing and directing complex operations and organizations at times of crisis or transformational change. She served as the Director of Disaster Recovery through the 2013 Southern Alberta Floods, and the 2016 Wood Buffalo Wildfires.
Stacey graduated with honours in Political Science at the University of Victoria and has a Masters in Global Governance earned jointly through the Balsillie School of International Affairs and the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin.
